About Us

Stong Photography Journal is written by a small team of people who spend their free time behind a camera, in front of a monitor editing, or digging through gear specs trying to decide what’s worth the money. The site grew out of a simple frustration: too many gear write-ups online read like they were copied from a press release rather than from anyone who actually used the thing.

Coverage decisions start with the questions photographers keep asking in forums and comment sections, then we work backward to the guides, comparisons, and settings walkthroughs that actually answer them. Gear picks are shaped by side-by-side spec comparisons, real shoots under the lighting and conditions people actually work in, and a willingness to say when something isn’t worth buying.

Stong Photography Journal participates in the Amazon Associates Program and earns from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. That relationship never decides which products get covered or how they’re rated.

Questions, corrections, or a shoot you think we should cover can be sent through the contact page, and someone from the team reads every message.
